She gained thousands of followers in a matter of days, and she decided to release the single ASAP in order to keep up with the response. Once it was released, she made it to the #2 spot on iTunes! The song now has over 1 million streams on Spotify, and I just thought it was incredible and worth recognizing how insane modern-day social media is.

Especially with TikTok's algorithm, anyone can go viral and anyone can get lots of attention in the blink of an eye. It's just so cool and amazing to see a small-town artist shoot to the top of the charts, all because of one video that people enjoyed.
