Do you ever listen to Blink-182 for a while, and think “These guys really write some ridiculous lyrics”, or “Gee, these songs kind of all sound the same”? Well, this band thought those exact same things, so they decided to just make a joke out of it.

Benny Linguini & The 8 Legs started out as a couple of guys writing humorous music and messing around. But as they started to make studio recordings, they realized that people might actually enjoy what they were making, so they began to make the music available to download and stream. They've made songs that are “rip-offs” of Creed, Post Malone, and now Blink-182.

This single, aptly named “Benny 182,” really isn't complete without its music video, which the guys shot in an old school building that's now used for music practice space and concerts. It's got some hilarious visual gags like the band walking down the hallways, all playing their respective guitars- except for Alec, the drummer, walking behind them and just playing his drumsticks in the air.

The lyrics poke fun at the typical Blink-182 fare: high school being a drag, liking a girl but her not liking you back, you being a loser, and some explicit humor thrown in for good measure, all tied together with some good old na-na-na's. It’s a well-produced, clean sounding pop punk track, and they could probably put it in the middle of a Blink-182 album and you wouldn’t notice.

And finally, a quote from the band:

“We like writing humorous music because not only is it fun for us, but because, at the end of the day, we know that there is so much going on in the world today. And, during times of hard seasons, we hope our music can make people laugh and take their minds off of things.
